What Direction Does Earth's Center Spin? New Insights Solve 300-Year-Old Problem

Researchers have solved a 300-year-old problem by demonstrating that the Earth's inner core, which is made up of solid iron, spins in an eastward direction, rotating faster than the rest of the planet due to the behaviour of the outer core, which is comprised mainly of molten iron and spins westward at a slower pace.
