Bacteria adapt and evade nanosilver’s sting


Silver nanoparticles are capable of killing E. coli and are being used in bandages and dressings to disinfect wounds, but new research has found that bacteria can rapidly become resistant to nanosilver. The study from UNSW will have an impact on how the nanoparticles are used in biomedical and environmental applications in future. Read more.
